Please Note:That working as an usher may require standing for long periods of time and that due to the nature of the theatre, you may be working in dimly-lit conditions. Some usher positions may require the ability to climb and descend stairs.
If you haven’t already completed the background check with VwC please let us know and we will send you a link to complete the process, we cover all the fees.
All volunteers must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and we are highly encouraging everyone to wear a mask while on site. Proof of vaccination will need to be provided at the first assignment.
Our Volunteer with Cheli team will be ushering on Thursday evenings and our dates are listed below. The call time is 6:45p with a show start time of 8p. Everyone will need to be ready to go at 6:45p so people will need to plan extra time for parking and walking to the theatre as there is no Globe-specific parking area.
Please sign up for one of the trainings in your volunteer portal, www.myimpactpage.com, or contact me at Cheli Mohamed if you are interested and able to help. Once you completed the training you can sign-up for Individual shows.
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASAs are volunteers of all backgrounds who make a commitment to advocate for the needs of the child or sibling group with whom they are matched. A CASA gets to know a child’s situation, communicates with professionals on the case, and makes sure the child’s needs are being met. Over time, a CASA often becomes the most consistent person in a child’s life. At regular court hearings required for all children in foster care, our CASAs report on the children’s progress and needs, which is essential for judges to make the best decisions for their futures.
Our Children Need You
This year, an estimated 3,500 children will spend time in foster care in San Diego County and 4,000 will spend time in foster care in Riverside County after experiencing abuse or neglect. These children need you to speak up for them.
