The United States Police & Fire Championships is an Olympic-style competition for athletes representing law enforcement, firefighters, and officers from corrections, probation, border protection, immigration and customs from across the country. Athletes compete in 38 different sporting events at 28 venues throughout San Diego County. The 2025 United States Police & Fire Championships will be held May 31 - June 7, 2025..


DAY OF EVENT

  • Volunteer Needs: Venue and sports assignments will determine specific roles and responsibilities for our volunteers. However, the general event support required during USPFC includes:
    --Hospitality
    --Logistics
    --Registration / Athlete Check-In
    --Results
    --Social Events
    --Special Assignment
    --USPFC Corner
    --Volunteer Check-in
    --Floater – to travel between venues to fill in if there is a shortage of staff

​​​​About Our Partner: San Diego Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast

The San Diego Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast brings together LGBT Community members and allies to celebrate the life and legacy of Harvey Milk. The Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast celebrates the diversity of our San Diego LGBT Community and is led by an all-volunteer team of community leaders. 


DAY OF EVENT

  • Volunteer Needs: Volunteers will assist with check-in, serve as greeters, and help people find tables.

  • Shift Date: Friday, May 16

  • Shift: 6:15am - 10:00am

  • Location: Town and Country (500 Hotel Circle North, San Diego, 92108)

  • Parking:
    There is a self parking garage at the entrance to the hotel by the lobby.
    There is self parking at the back of the property off Fashion Valley Road.


  • Dress Code: Black slacks/skirt, White Shirt/Blouse and Dark shoes.

Established in 1940, the Old Town San Diego Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and celebrate the unique history of the Old Town neighborhood.

  • SATURDAY, MAY 3rd 

Volunteer Needs: CLEAN DREAM TEAM: Volunteers will assist with monitoring trash and recycling and go around San Diego Avenue and Harney to answer questions about the festivities and help with carnival games at night.

  • Shift #1 - 11:00am - 2:00pm

  • Shift #2 - 2:00pm - 5:00pm

  • Shift #3- 5:00pm - 8:00pm

  • Shift #4 - 5:30pm - 7:00pm (TO HELP RUN CARNIVAL GAMES) 


  • SUNDAY, MAY 4th

​​​​About Our Partner: San Diego Gaelic Athletic Association

SDGAA was founded in 2018 as a non-profit organization to promote Irish sports and culture in San Diego County. Irish sports consist of men’s and women’s Gaelic football, hurling, and camogie. These field sports have their origins from Ireland but have been played in the United States, and worldwide, for decades with nationwide clubs under the guidance and support of the USGAA (United States Gaelic Athletic Association) organization and their respective Divisional committees.

SDGAA is the organizing committee responsible for hosting the West Coast Sevens tournament over Memorial Day weekend each year. In 2024, SDGAA celebrated its 10th anniversary with a record number of teams from Canada and across the U.S.


DAY OF EVENT

  • Volunteer Needs: Volunteers will assist in setup, breakdown, concession stand, beer garden, field coordinators, and runners.

  • Shift Date: Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24
